Notable players to watch for Jets
Darnell Mooney, WR
The Jets pounced on Allen Lazard last year early in free agency, and look how that worked out.
GM Joe Douglas might be reluctant to pay big money to Calvin Ridley, who is now the No. 1 receiver available. Mooney should come in at under $10 million per season.
He has not put up big numbers since his 1,055 receiving yards in 2021, but the Bears offense has been abysmal.
He is the type of deep threat who could open things up for the offense.

Damien Lewis, G
The Jets likely will be searching for bargains in a guard market, where the top players could be overpaid.
Lewis has improved over recent years with the Seahawks and has played more than 900 snaps in three of his four seasons.
He allowed just three sacks last year.
John Simpson, G

Simpson played more than 1,000 snaps last year, and allowed just one sack and 26 total pressures.
He is someone who could be a steal in the second wave of free agency.
